New Lands is a two-person exhibit featuring collage prints from Andy Prince and paintings by Bob Fish. The show presents creative endeavors guided by improvisation, imperfection, chance and feeling. In their lives, both artists maintain roles that demand precision, control, production and final delivery. To create work for this show, both artists embraced a creative process beyond familiarity, beyond the confines of their professional spheres, and beyond the ideals of perfection. The resulting artwork does not reflect mere escapism, but rather presents a visual counterbalance to well-trodden paths. An expanding of process and a blurring of boundaries.
